Teens Talk Truth in 2014

Welcome to the new look of Teens Talk Truth.  Our web designer, Nelson Romero has been terrific in making this site reflect where TTT is in 2014 (http://www.NelsonRomero.com). As we begin the shift to an international presence for TTT in South Africa, I am humbled by all of the American parents of teens who have been supportive of this work.

There are parents all over the world who are hurting today because their kids are depressed, lonely, strung out, drunk or otherwise not whole, happy and free. Parents are the first line of defense against addiction and also of recognizing the signs of mental health issues. Let’s join together in erasing the stigma and shame of having kids who aren’t perfect: those who have walked the road of addiction, bi-polar, depression, ADHD, Asperger’s, Schizoaffective Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder and so on. Let’s get brave and talk about it. Shout about it. Tell someone.  Shove the shame aside and tell the truth about how you’re feeling.
